Guidance and information on your FEET application

Where can I find a childcare place?

You will need to accept your funded childcare place at an Ofsted registered early years provider. Not all providers are registered to deliver funded childcare, please visit Childcare Finder to search for childcare settings in your area who offer FEET. Your child may be able to attend a day nursery, preschool, maintained nursery school, nursery class in a maintained or academy school, independent school, or childminder.

Nannies and home carers are currently not permitted to register on the Early Years Register and cannot therefore receive early education funding.

Benefits, financial support, and advice services for families

If you use Ofsted registered childcare you may be entitled to help with your childcare costs.

The Government offer a range of benefits depending on your needs. These include Jobseekers allowance, Universal Credit, Employment Support Allowance and Child Benefit.

The Citizens Advice service helps people to resolve their problems. They offer information and advice through face-to-face, phone and email services. Citizen advice bureau offer face to face advice available from a variety of locations including community centres and doctors' surgeries.

The Surrey County Council Family Information Service offer a free impartial information and signposting service on all aspects of family life.

Family Centres support families to find solutions to the parenting and relationship challenges you may face and to grow in confidence to manage future difficulties. The aim of the family centres is to help families build their own resilience and self-reliance.
